About Us

At Liberty Cremations, we believe that saying goodbye should be personal, dignified, and on your terms.

Founded in 2021, we have built a small professional team who arrange modern direct cremations with a personal service that is second to none.  Too often, families discovered the cremation of the person who has died was taking place hundreds of miles away—sometimes on the other side of the country. We chose a different path.

By working with a carefully selected network of crematoria across the South East of England, we ensure that every cremation happens closer to home. This means greater peace of mind for families, and the reassurance that the person who has died is cared for locally, with dignity and respect.

Our ethos

We combine professionalism with compassion, keeping arrangements simple and transparent. Whether you choose a straightforward cremation without a service or arrange a prepaid funeral plan with us, we make the process as simple and kind as possible.

Our commitment is to give you flexibility and choice.

Meet the team

At Liberty Cremations, we’re proud to be a small, dedicated team that puts families first. We’re here to help you through the careful arrangement of a direct cremation —without distance, pressure, or unnecessary complexity.

I am the Operations Director for Liberty Cremations, leading the team and have a responsibility for the overall running of the business. I supported the launch of Liberty Cremations in 2021 following an understanding that society’s wishes had shifted slightly and that for some Direct Cremations were now their wish.

I noticed that by choosing a Direct Cremation with the well-known names, the Direct Cremation would then have to take place many miles from home, sometimes across the other side of the country.

I opted for a local approach to Direct Cremation, ensuring that cremations happen more locally in a carefully chosen network of crematoria across the South East of England instead.

Having worked across various roles within the funeral industry over the past 10 years, I bring some unique experience to Liberty Cremations including insight from funeral practices all over the world.

I have worked in the funeral sector for over twenty years, starting as a chauffeur bearer and working through to a funeral director. I joined CPJ Field in 2023 working for Homeland International as a driver/administrator and moved over to Liberty Cremations in July 2024 as an arranger/administrator.

The funeral sector offers a lot of satisfaction.  I feel a great deal of pride and responsibility that comes with looking after people at one of their most difficult times in their lives.

Outside of work, I am married with two children and two grandchildren. I have played in Brass Bands since I was 12 and also have been ringing the church bells (campanology) since I was 11. I also enjoy the occasional sea fishing trip, either off the beach or boat.

Having retired from a fulfilling career in the Police Service, I embarked on a new path in the Funeral Industry with CPJ Field in 2018. Starting as a Funeral Service Team member, I now run the operations for Liberty Cremations and Homeland International.

At Liberty Cremations, I work closely with Richard and Susie, to ensure that every logistical detail is meticulously handled. From arranging the transfers of loved ones into our care from all corners of the country to overseeing their continued care until the day of the funeral, my role is centred around providing support during one of life’s most challenging times. I am also responsible for the safe return of your loved one’s Ashes at a time that suits you best.

I take immense pride in what I achieve in this role. My work is driven by compassion, integrity, and empathy, and I strive to treat every family with the same respect and kindness that I would want for my own loved ones. Outside of my professional life, I have a deep passion for motorcycling and living life to the fullest.

I have always worked in the role of serving customers in various jobs, I love face to face roles and have been since the age of 13!  I get so much satisfaction hearing back from our clients either by email, telephone call or via Trustpilot. A good day for me is when you are remembered for your kindness.  A returning client who says, “We wouldn’t use anyone else but you”, now, that’s a good feeling!

I did not have any experience of the funeral sector but a Funeral Director who I knew at the time told me about Fuller & Scott.  So, I applied and was delighted to take on a position at Liberty Cremations. My role is a Funeral Arranger/Administrator which involves taking the first call and sending out the appropriate paperwork to the client.   I have worked for CPJ Field for 4 years and at Liberty Cremations for the last 2.5 years. I take payment, book the cremation with various crematoriums, and return the ashes to families. I am always there at the end of the line for any further queries they may have, and love that people trust in us which is a big part of my day.

My outside interests are travelling abroad especially cruising, gardening, reading, cooking, and looking after my granddaughter Mylah.
